Less

I think often beauty lies in what's left out - old, half-empty spaces that kindle a myriad of thoughts, ideas, memories, dreams. And plenty of room to breathe, dance, lie on the floor & stare at the ceiling. I think that's why I love the feeling you get when you first tread the floorboards of a brand new home, before all the removal boxes are unopened and anything is still possible.

(May this also serve as a pep talk for myself to start decluttering...)

A lovely weekend to you all, deep breaths. x

  1. oh yes. our home is actually much lovelier without any of the 'stuff.' sigh. i am always surprised how much better i feel when i choose to subtract rather than add to the inventory.

    beautiful images!

    1. I agree. Yet I know I would never be a minimalist in the pure sense of the word, as I do love beautiful things so much. They just all have to have a place and a purpose I guess.

    1. Flowing curtains and tall ceilings coupled with an empty space has to be where magic happens!

It makes me happy
when you leave a trace

- whether it's a single word
or you scribble all over.
