      - I'd heard about the café but had never been there before
and instantly realised I'd been missing out on something already :)

    1. The ice does look quite scary,
but it's actually the result of ice breakers
that clear the way for ferries and boats.
But trekking on a little ferry with the noise of
broken ice churning down below brings its atmosphere :)

  7. Hyvät tunnelmat, Rebecca! Ihailen sitä, kuinka olet saanut tuossa tasaisen harmaassa säässä noin mukavan näköistä tunnelmaa kuviisi.

      - nii-in, tämä tasainen harmaa...
tosin Suomenlinnassa on ehkä juuri harmaana päivänä ihan paras tunnelma muutenkin :)

    1. Thank you Anci,
it's an island just off Helsinki
called Suomelinna in Finnish, Sveaborg in Swedish.
If you happen to be in Helsinki one day,
you can hop on a ferry at the main market square,
      so worth a visit!

    2. Maybe I will visit Helsinki soon, if it's that fine :)

    1. Thank you LurdeLinhas!
I think that's exactly how it is.
      Despite the cold winter temperatures
luckily the houses are built to stay warm and cosy inside.
      Have a lovely week, x
