Finding these soft, grey days strangely comforting.
The autumn weeks seem to be flying past,
but when there's a minute to think,
thankfulness brims to the surface
for all the new ideas, people,
creating a rich, luscious web.
A stillness despite all the rushing around.
Thankfulness for freedom to choose,
freedom to carve those little steps,
freedom that can't be taken for granted in this world.
Not sure if it's an age thing or what,
but so conscious of the value
of the gift of life,
shedding a whole new light
on what's important
and what may as well fall on the wayside.
“It takes courage to push yourself
to places that you have never been before...
to test your limits...
to break through barriers.
And the day came when the risk it took
to remain tight inside the bud
was more painful
than the risk it took to Blossom.”
