2015 ended with a bang & laughter
surrounded by dearest family & friends.
A year that makes me whisper thank you
from the bottom of my heart.

And today, the New Year
unfolded with the umpteenth, silently sipped coffee
& the feeling of a white, blank, first page of a journal.

No resolutions this year,
but a few quiet wishes:

Wishing you a year ahead
that's all that you hope & much more.
Those delicious surprise elements.

  1. Oh, I just posted about the blank page - to read your post now, how wonderful! Ahhh, and I should have put some glitterdust on mine, you are so right :)
So happy new year from Méa!!! A wonder-full year!

    1. Ahh, the blank page
      - don't you just l o v e that notion...
The stillness, the unknown chapters that lie ahead...
Sending a wish for your pages to be filled
with every good thing this year,
sprinkled with that shiny stuff :)

  2. Nice Year 2016 ....... very nice Pictures!!!!!

    1. Thank you so much dear lille weiss
      - wishing you lots of light & love for 2016! x

  3. Oh Rebecca -- you have such a gift with words and always the perfect images. If you have a moment, i invite you to take a quick peek at my post today -- (originally entitled "new beginnings", by the way!) There is lots of white in the images --- not the creamy kind you adore so much, but still...I think you will love. I took them while sledding with my family in British Columbia, Canada. An incredible day.

    1. Thank you from my heart dear Melody.
White is lovely, no matter what shade -
and does remind of that fresh new leaf
that's so alluring & full of promise...
What a lovely way for you to begin the New Year
      with your family!
      Take care & a treasured 2016 to you, x

  4. Happy New Year Rebecca. Thank you for an inspirational way to think about the year ahead...A blank page sprinkled with glitter!

I so enjoy your words, photos and music, they often bring me peace and joy.

Much love for the year ahead. Lizxx

    1. Thank you so much dear Liz
for touching my heart with your words...
I hope that your blank page does become sprinkled
with all that, peace and joy, and an extra dash of glitter :) x

  5. Gosh this is so beautiful. I will be sharing about my guiding word. -silent- for the new year this weekend on my blog. No more resolutions for me either. A word has been something that works for me and carries me through the year.

Grace in the New to you xx

    1. What a special guiding word for the New Year sweet...
I share this notion with you,
      no added pressure of resolutions,
but yes, a guiding word or theme
that seems to strike a chord
with one's heart at the time...
I guess for me it all boils down to "grace"
when thinking of the year ahead,
      towards oneself & others.
I look forward to reading that post, x

  6. I will continue dreaming through Sanctuary. I hope a many more pages full of beauty and inspiration (like always)
I wish you lots of good things, Rebecca.
    Thanks so much

    1. Thank you darling Nines for saying just that...
for giving me butterflies in my stomach, x
I wish you a year ahead full of promise & beauty & love.

It makes me happy
when you leave a trace

- whether it's a single word
or you scribble all over.
