Long weekend

This weekend we're driving to the country and these pictures put me right in the mood for a long weekend and a change of scenery. Camera, a good book & long walks is the simple plan.

Twig Hutchinson's home&hideaway

When I first laid my hands on a Toast catalogue a few years ago now, I just had to look up the stylist who had created such amazingness. That's when I decided Twig Hutchinson must be my favourite stylist if ever I had to name one (doesn't the name already conjure up images of a magical forest?). And surely if someone can create such wonderful scenes, her home must be pretty special, too? 

Unfortunately I haven't come across any photos from her home online, so I took some snaps of her home featured in Atlanta Bartlett's Easy Elegance (photographed by Polly Wreford and published by Ryland, Peters & Small).

But what I did find, quite by chance, was this clip of Twig Hutchinson showing her little hideaway at the end of her garden - do take a look, it's a d r e a m.

Dreamy or what! (Rosy Strazzeri-Fridman)

The San Francisco home of stylist Rosy Strazzeri-Fridman is just so incredibly beautiful with its pale, creamy shades against the backdrop of warm, dark wood. And her portfolio is true testimony to her savvy style, too.

Emily Chalmers

A change of scenery did us a wealth of good, but it is lovely to be back again. Today for the home of Emily Chalmers, who seems one busy lady as stylist, shop owner and author of a pile of books. She lives in a converted warehouse in London's Shoreditch, filled with flea market finds and all things nice. Her shop Caravan Style can be found here. 

Maisemanvaihdos teki hyvää, mutta hyvältä tuntuu olla taas täälläkin. Tänään kurkitaan Emily Chalmersin kotiin - hän asuu vanhassa varastorakennuksessa Lontoon Shoreditchissä ja on haalinut kotinsa täyteen kirpparilöytöjä ja kaikkea kaunista.
