I could burst into song in honour of

September in its gentleness,

golden light,

Damien Rice's music,

long walks, 

moonlight. 

In no particular order. 

Tekee mieli laulaa 

syyskuun lempeydelle, 

kultaiselle valolle,

pitkille kävelylenkeille,

kuutamolle. 

Satunnaisessa järjestyksessä. 

DREAMING

An ashen-hued Friday

interrupted by a strike of lightning,

then the fleeting glimmer of the sun,

before hushing down to a feathery grey again.

Body & mind slowed right down

with a little autumn flu. 

Weeks of busyness

came to an end,

now time to land in between. 

Despite its unfinished state,

our home is warm,

its walls dripping with dreams.

Koti kaikessa keskeneräisyydessään

on lämmin,

sen seinät tihkuvat unelmia. 

SEPTEMBER

Part of me is sad to depart

with August. 

But September,

what a lovely ring to the word.

The way it sounds

& all that it holds

- leaves soon turning

into a myriad of colours.

The soul turning a leaf, too,

on the brink of something new. 

Toast sure does early autumn beautifully.
