Meeting Emma Cassi

On my last day in London something very special took place. I nearly fell off my chair a couple of days before when I received an invitation from Emma Cassi to pop round to her home for some tea and cake. All I can say is that this blog world is something truly amazing! As a longstanding admirer of Emma Cassi's incredible jewellery, which she makes by hand using vintage lace and other sourced materials, and follower of her blog with its constant stream of charm and delicate inspiration, you can imagine how giddy I felt! Her home and family were of course every bit as delightful as I'd imagined and it was such a pleasure to chat about this and that and see the nook where all her creations take shape. Not only did I come away with my head spinning with new thoughts, but also with some pieces for my daughter and myself wrapped inside an old music sheet - and a sense of awe at the random kindness of another human being, someone I'd never even met. Thank you Emma!

Kiitos Emma!

Hi Rebecca,

It really is amazing and wonderful how we bond to fellow bloggers and actually get to meet them in person at times. I know you were enchanted with your visit to Emma's home.

Your blog is an inspiration to me although I don't always comment. I'm going to do better this year. ♥

Hugs,
Stephanie Suzanne ♥

The kindness of others in the little corners of the blog world never fails to touch my heart.

LissyLou, Her home was absolutely gorgeous, so many beautiful details that catch the eye.

Kaylovesvintage, She has such a great home, and full of aesthetic details and so cosy and comfortabe at the same time.

Stephanie Suzanne, Thanks for your kind words and lovely to hear from you. I agree, it's amazing how you get connected with so many like-minded people over the blog world, and it really is special to get to meet some every now and then. I get so excited when I read of bloggers who have met up, may there be more of that in the future for many of us :)

michele, Wouldn't that be just great to have a little meet-up in London one day!!

Sinead, Thanks!

Yläpuolella taas Helsinki Schoolin kirja, joten tuli hyvin kotoinen olo kaikin puolin :)

Inka, Kertakaikkisen ihana ja ihmeellinen. Lisää näitä!

Merja, So lucky :)

FrenchByDesign, I got to peek in the drawers that you see in the last photo, each filled with her intricate creations, absolutely stunning!

kat, It really does feel touching to be bestowed with kindness like this. And I know there are such gems around like yourself :) It's amazing how we get connected from all over the world like this.

Svenja, Thanks, glad to have passed on the information in that case, as she's definitely worth knowing of :)
