Soak

A good soak in the bath is one of those weekend rituals that I'd hate to part with. The solitude, deep breath, mind drifting, eyes closed - cleansing the body, reviving the soul.

"There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won't cure, but I don't know many of them."
Sylvia Plath

"I used to lie between cool, clean sheets at night after I'd had a bath, after I had washed my hair and scrubbed my knuckles and finger-nails and teeth. Then I could lie quite still in the dark with my face to the window with the trees in it, and talk to God."
Frances Farmer

Oh I agree, I love to soak in the bath. Candles burning soft music I just loose myself in the moment. Never often enough. Thanks for sharing. Cheers SpecialK XoXo

Oh, that quote of Frances Farmer, I can rely on, dream of! I can dream of a club-footed bathtub, scented candles, a delicate flower, divinely scented bath salts, bubbles, lush towels ... and the dream goes on ... and on.

Thank you for allowing me a bit of dream.

P.S. FYI, I do have a small bathroom, quite pretty, all decked in dove-grey-blue tiles, clean and nice smelling, but the bathtub is a joke. A mean joke. When you take into account that I am a heavy woman with bad knees, you will understand why soaking in a mean bathtub is a challenge one wouldn't think of taking.
