Quelques jours à Paris (troi, vert)

A rather enticing marriage of looming clouds hanging over our heads
and all that green lusciousness...

(From now on,
I am so serving water  flavoured with sprigs of fresh mint.)

I was thinking the same when I saw the water with mint..So elegant..
Love the last photo..to have a gentle glance inside other peoples life..
Often especially when in a train..I look outside the window and see all those houses that we pass by.
Their windows..and behind them life..
their laundry hanging outside,
someone washing dishes,
someone watering the plants,
an empty balcony with the shutters closed..
a kid playing with its mom on a bed..
Passing with the train beside other life stories..imagine..and thinking how similar we all are...all have the same needs..the same fears..the same light when we smile..
Have a beautiful day.
Love,
M.

Hi Rebecca. It's those huge affordable Paris flowers on every street corner that get me. It's a little of the same in London. If I lived there I'd have fresh white roses all the time. :)

I love the fact that's it's often those really simple and inexpensive ideas that stick
- like throwing generous amounts of mint into a jug of water :)

You describe it so vividly
- that's exactly what I do, have done since I was a young girl,
when I loved (and still do) taking walks in the darkening evenings,
when people had their lights on inside
& I'd wonder what they'd be doing
& how cosy it looked.
It must be partly the same reason I'm
such an interior magazine addict these days...
although it doesn't quite have the same mystery as just seeing little glimpses
when passing by.

Thank you for taking time to write here, so lovely, x

Thanks Anci,
The last photo is from our hotel,
it was the perfect nest...

Oh yes! Those huge bouquets of flowers make me think of London, too,
people would pick up wonderful, ginormous bunches on their way home from work.
And that's what I miss over here,
well there are flower shops here, too, of course,
but they are somehow so sterile and crisp compared to these luscious, sprawling stalls...
Have a lovely evening, x

That is so funny. I was in Paris last week and had the same thing served to me, I might say it was at the same place. So this morning I bought two mint plants to put into my garden, for water and for tea. Every time I ordered mint tea they added fresh mint to the boiling water. It was perfection!

Best,

Glad you came along :) - and thank you for the sweet comment, x

It could well have been the same place (merci café?) .
I think that's one of the most fun and cost-free part of travelling
- having one's sense open to the little twists :)
Trust the mint is thriving in your garden now! x
